The fifth-generation iPod, also known as the iPod video, the iPod with video,
and the iPod 5G, appeared in October 2005 in 30-GB and 60-GB models. It’s the
first iPod to support digital video as well as digital photos and digital audio.
Identifying a fifth-generation iPod is pretty easy. Perhaps most notably, the big,
2.5-inch display on this generation of iPod is a dead giveaway .
It comes in either a black or white case with a grey Click Wheel. Just like previous
generations, there is a docking port on the bottom.
